I have been on this photography journey for the last 6 years after 15 years of working in the film and fashion industry. i loved my time working on films like Pirates of The Carribean of pinch me moments like London Fashion Week. I have always been obsessed with creating images. Being from a fashion background I know how to take those editorial style wedding photos without taking you away from the MOST important aspects of your day, the hug with nan, the girls on the dancefloor, or the hug from that friend you havent seen since university.

I was thrilled to shoot them in Paris. Over two days we shot in and around Paris. I very much kept to the candid editorial style we wanted. There was still a documentary touch but as we were in Paris we went for a little more of an editorial fee.

Town halls are usually the best place for an intimate wedding and I haveworked as a micro wedding photographer for these iintimate weddings for the last 6 years. I enjoy the intimacy of the smaller numbers which is special to this sort of day.

what are the best venues for a micro wedding?
London town hall's are stand alone stunning venues. Gone are the days of the drab beige wedding at the local town office. We now have stunning venues like The Marylebone TOwn Hall, Hackney TOwn Hall,, Islington town hall and mamny more. A wedding that is only a few hour slong can still incoportae a ceremony at one of these gorgeous town halls, followed by couple photos and confetti ecit. Usually followed with a dining experience in a restaurannt, private members club or pub.
how do you plan photography for a micro wedding in london?
With a town hall ceremony the photography follows the flow of that ceremony plan. Lets say you were looking at 1.5 hours of photography. The town hall formate will usually follow this. 1. Photographer arrives ten minutes easrly and captures the couple or bride arriving. 2. Shoot the ceremony (20 minutes) 3. Confettii exit 5 minutes. 4. Group shots. 10 minutes.. 15 minutes couple shoot Total time 1 hour. 5. 30 minute remaining suggested, glass of champagne at nearby bar to take interaction shots with family/friends. 6. Couple can then leave to go to a reception. Possible to book photographer to cover this optional. I have covered up to another 4 hours at the following event where photos of speeches, cake cutting and even a dance follow. Intimate does not necessarily mean less.
