The wedding. of Laura and Will ; The Langham , followed by a ceremony at Fitzrovia Chapel;
The perfect London micro wedding, followed by dinner at Fredericks Islington London,
Fitzrovia Chapel Wedding Photography; Just an outstanding venue, so lavish and with a magical quality. If you are looking for a chapel in London this is it ….
The Langham hotel is where Laura and Will stayed which provided a lovely nights sleep ! Along with sublime surroundings to have hair and make-up created. We took this opportunity for some lovely family photos and pre wedding portraits, before heading to Fitzrovia Chapel in a London White taxi.
Fitzrovia chapel is stunning venue, and the staff are seriously on it. The chapel usually offers a 2.5 hour block but do enquire for your own requirements. I love that we know its process so well. First guests will be seated and the groom in position (not meaning for this to sound like a sports match :). Then the bride and bridesmaids will enter through the front entrance so as not to be seen. Fitzrovia chapel wedding photography is a unique challenge. It is very low light, but too much flash in the ceremony can disrupt the magic of the moment. I opt for a very low depth of field to catch any available light. The photos remain slightly grainy but perfectly represent the serenity of the ceremony. I save flash for group shots and couple shots AFTER the ceremony has finished. This way it is the best of both worlds
Then the stunning ceremony (usually around 20 minutes long) This is accompanied by a harp, or violist or just music all works. After the iconic moment of ‘I do’. the bride and groom will walk to the back of the room under the arches where they are given a glass of bubbly. To tear you away for photos here would be a crime. Laura and will spent 15 minutes receiving beautiful hugs and congratulations. Then we took the closest relatives to the ceremony area for group shots. Then 10 minutes on couple shots. Leaving Laura and Will a good amount of time to mingle with guests and drink thier champagne.
We all walked to the routmaster bus and this is great opportinity for some really candid fun photos of all the guests. It was really raining at this point but take care, keep yourself dry under the brolly and never under estimate a brolly shot. One of Lauras favourite shots were her son under thier brolly.
Then a initmate affair at Fredericks. Fredericks, in Islington I recommend so highly for smaller weddings who still want to have that refined quality. Laura and will had drinks in the garden followed by thier meal in the main dining area. They hired the ground floor and this stunning venue to themselves
